Last night for the first time I considered stepping aside from ministry. The reality of warfare had not occurred to me while I celebrated and began work. From the beginning I’ve experienced various forms of “warfare” from a few other church leaders. This in and of itself brought immediate discouragement.
I have tried to continue where I am and remain focused more so on the task and not individual personalities and issues. I realize that everyone comes with “baggage.” Leaders are not excluded from this. Sadly we are in front and must lead by example. Our insecurities are revealed whether we realize it or not. We must be healed in order to bring the love of God to others.
With that being said I will focus continually in prayer for my fellow churches leaders, their healing and willingness to endure such healing as is necessary. How wonderful it is to realize that God can use all things for good (Romans 8:28). Even our own personal trials. ”May God alone be glorified in what will transpire in the hearts and minds of the leaders of NCOM!“

We are all sinners and beggers leading other sinners and beggers to taste of the living bread! There is only one who walked on this earth who was perfect…so why do you think you will be while still in the flesh. None in the bible were except God and it is written to show that in truth..We are to live our lives emulating His traits..we are not perfect but forgiven! Do not give up…move forward for through our imperfections we show his perfection how one so perfect can daily forgive! God bless!
Amen!
Amen. Prayer and your relationship with Christ Jesus will always make you an overcomer!
And indeed it has!
I hope you can keep on. I think when we grow through those valleys it’s so important to cry out to Jesus – he will meet you in those dark, lonely places. I’ve also enjoyed the concepts shared in The Emotionally Healthy Spiritually book.
Today and Yesterday I cried out to the Lord and feel much better as a result. The book was recommended to me so it’s nice to know you enjoyed it.
Yvette, I agree with the other comments. You are there for a reason; God’s reasons. And it sounds to me like the devil is trying to sway your goal? Ignore him. Your blog posts represent the heart of one who should be in the ministry; unless God shows you otherwise, keep on keepin on…
I’ve had two great days of time spent with the Lord and feel refreshed as a result. Thanks for the encouragement. As usual:-)
